Market entry · Nigeria & West Africa

Your route into Nigeria, run by people who operate here.

We help companies from the Gulf, Europe, Asia and beyond assess the market, find credible partners and start selling, and we help Nigerian states raise and collect revenue. Advice, then execution.

What we do

One firm. Two kinds of client.

International companies come to us to enter and sell in Nigeria. State governments come to us to raise revenue. Both get the same discipline: a defined scope, documented delivery, and someone on the ground until the job is done.

Practice 01

Market Entry & Commercial Execution

For manufacturers, suppliers, service firms and investors from any market.

  • Market-entry diagnostics and route-to-market advice
  • Distributor, partner and supplier search with due diligence
  • Fractional country representation
  • Procurement and commercial execution support
  • On-the-ground investor and project due diligence

Paid, defined, disclosed. Staged fixed fees or retainers; any success fee tied to a written commercial trigger.

Practice 02

Public Finance & Revenue Advisory

For state governments, planning commissions, internal revenue services and MDAs.

  • IGR diagnostics and revenue-gap analysis
  • Revenue collection systems: design, deployment, operation
  • Fiscal performance monitoring and M&E dashboards
  • Statistics and data infrastructure support
  • Sector revenue programmes: mobility, environment, waste

Design-and-run. Fees can be tied to verified incremental revenue through gain-share.

Why Peak Advisory

Advisers who have run businesses here.

Most market-entry advice stops at the report. Ours comes from people who have imported, distributed, financed and collected payment in Nigeria.

Operating experience

Our Principal runs a downstream petroleum business and an agribusiness, after twelve years in banking. We know how deals actually close and where they fail.

Fees you can audit

Every fee, commission and conflict is written into the engagement letter. We never take hidden payments from the suppliers we recommend.

We stay for execution

After the recommendation, we can represent you locally, manage partners and coordinate procurement until the channel is working.

Services

Clear scope, timeframe and basis.

Every engagement starts with a signed letter and a mobilisation payment, so both sides know exactly what is being delivered and when.

Entry routes

Five ways into the market.

A signed distribution agreement is not the same as a working sales channel. We help you choose the route that fits your product, margins and appetite for risk.

RouteWorks whenWatch for
Appoint a distributorVolumes justify local stock and a partner with real reach exists.Exclusivity granted too early; payment terms that shift risk to you.
Local representativeYou sell to identifiable B2B buyers and need presence before an office.Unclear authority to sign; commission terms nobody wrote down.
Direct B2B salesA few large buyers account for most demand.Import documentation, FX timing and collections.
Limited pilotDemand or pricing is unproven and you want evidence first.Pilots that run without a defined pass or fail test.
Joint ventureLocal manufacturing, licensing or long-term contracts are in view.Partner ownership, governance and exit terms, checked before signing.
How we work

From first call to a decision.

A simple sequence, the same for every client.

  1. Discovery callThirty minutes on your product, target buyers, priorities and budget.
  2. Written proposalScope, deliverables, timeline and fees, within 48 hours.
  3. Engagement letterSigned terms, confidentiality and conflict disclosures, then mobilisation.
  4. Documented deliveryA workplan, a mid-point update and regular written reports.
  5. Decision & transitionA clear recommendation and, where it makes sense, the next phase.
